Flight of the Conchords: Radio City Music Hall

The characters of New York City were flexing their sugarlumps this week as the fabulous Flight of the Conchords took the stage at Radio City.
Bret and Jemaine are living the dream, rising from virtual obscurity in New Zealand to sold out shows at one of the most famous venues in the world. The NYC crowd loved every minute, from the opening robots doing "The Humans are Dead" through "Too Many Dicks on the Dance Floor", and, I almost forgot a favorite of mine, "Jenny".

Jemaine, among other shenanigans, constantly produced and played a variety of unique instruments, including the pocket xylophone and the electronic Omnicord. Bret seemed to be content innocently destroying his musical gear, completely demolishing his toy piano in the opening song. When asked by the crowd about other HBO cast appearing in the show, Bret correctly shouted out: "They are imaginary."" Bret further queried: "Why does everyone want to know where our friends are?, where is your niece?"
The show opened with Kristin Schaal, who plays Mel on the show, a very funny comedian in her own right. She had the crowd roaring with everything, from stuffing her face with chocolate cake, clanging sexual pots and pans, and her never-ending crazy dance number "Kristin Schall is a Horse". (You have to watch this video) I cannnot wait to see her when she comes to Caroline's in the city this August.
How long can the Conchords keep flying? Forever, I hope.
