Roger Federer Wins U.S. Open
Roger Federer defeated Andy Murray in three sets to win his
fifth consecutive United States Open.

The U.S. Tennis Open, the "cool" (not) place to be in New York City these days.
The still standing globe from the New York 1964 World's Fair is big enough for me to hit with my tennis racket (maybe).
The Roger Federer-Igor Andreev match lasted 212 minutes in the blazing Queens, New York sun. I watched these two athletes hit the ball back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. I could barely sit there with the sun beating down on me. I have no idea how these guys do it. These guys just kept going. They did not even take a bathroom break although we really do not know what goes on when they hide under the umbrellas during the short breaks.
Roger Federer is now my favorite male tennis player. I hope he wins the Championship. I think he will.
He seems like a great guy. Very soft spoken and does not seem to have a massive ego. He did not throw the tennis racket once. Some of the other players did. As mellow as Swiss cheese.
Close up of my orange hat. This hat saved me from heat stroke.
My favorite new hat.
