Insane clowns made me smile
Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at 13:52 The Cirque du Soleil Wintuk at the WaMu Theater at Madison Square Garden. Here you can experience a wonderland of creepy clowns, amazing acrobats, incredible sets, and people from all nations of the earth coming together on stage to contort their bodies. Giant yoga like balls flying with tiny strange men, hurling themselves to the floor and bouncing back up again(this one I can't wait to try). Giant blow-up robot creatures cavorting around the stage.
Fun, colorful and lovely. At the end, paper snow flakes fell out of the pretend sky onto your head. I put one in my mouth thinking it might be a tab of acid.
[From its promo people] This year, Wintuk is back in the heart of the city with a mind-blowing new trampoline act and astounding puppet creations by Michael Curry. Power Track is a daring, high-speed, precision-choreographed trampoline act that pushes the very definition of acrobatics to the limits in a jaw-dropping, heart-stopping routine. What's more, Michael Curry has created a collection of captivating puppet characters that will enchant and enthrall the whole family.
