Blue Toes and Pink Roses
Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at 01:08 Today was the first nice day in quite a while. We hit around 50 degrees, maybe higher. Tuesday will be even nicer and Wednesday will be in the 70's. This weather makes us New Yorkers very happy. The clock is set forward, it stays light out longer, and with warm weather we feel that summer is already here.
Guys were out playing basketball without shirts, people wearing shorts, and women already in sandals. It's like they kept their sandals by the door waiting for the first warm day to show off their bare feet. Toes exposed and pedicured. I was surprised to see how quickly everyone throws the boots in the closet and put on his or her flip flops. There go the Uggs. Everyone is in a great mood. Still it is only March and I am sure we will still have some cold days ahead. We even had some snow storms in April, you never know.
The best part is I can show off my blue toes to the world. This is becoming my trademark. I seem to stick to shades of blue. I love blue toe nails. Janet says blue makes my feet look as if they were recently run over by a bus. "We cannot always like the same thing," I tell her. She likes red. Red is nice. For me, blue is better.
