Her Name is Lily

Took kitty to the vet today for her worm pills, flea pills. distemper shot, [rabbi shot] rabies shot, and to check if she had feline aids or feline leukemia. Clean bill of health. She bolted at one point and hid in the bathroom as the vet assistant ran around looking for her. She is between 6 to 7 months old and may or may not be pregnant. The vet cannot tell yet. He will check her out again on Wednesday and do that surgery that will not allow her to get pregnant which I believe is a good thing. It is so different in Florida than in New York, as the vet was so calm, helpful, patient, and nice. I would have allowed him to do surgery on me. I have given her a name, Lily.
Like Lily Munster. I thought she was so beautiful. Herman was a lucky man. The Munsters...one of my favorite TV shows of all time.
One last thought. Another stray walked by the window late last night and Lilly jumped up. She turned to me and said "mom, are you just going to let her stay outside all night or are you going to bring her into the house with us?" I explained to Lily that there was no room left in the house and we could not bring her inside. Large Vet expense, I told Lil. She understood and put her baby head down on the window sill and went back to sleep.
