New York City so peaceful the day after Thanksgiving
Friday, November 23, 2007 at 21:51 Thanksgiving is over. I had a wonderful time with my family in Connecticut and with all the kids running around. I gravitate toward them more then hanging out with the grown up people. The little ones are so unique and interesting. Best part is their honesty. Sometimes tough to take, but extremely refreshing.
The twin boys, age 6, years old, were killing ladybugs when there was no one watching them. I had to stop them. I tried and tried, finally I had to rat on them to their parents. I hated doing it. I did not have a choice since they did not believe me when told them that it was bad luck to KILL them and very cruel. They just laughed at me and told me I was full of crap, in a 6 year old sort of way, while laughing in my face taunting me as they squished more through the screen door. Horrible.
Finally, the kiddies went into computer mode. Everyone under 17 and myself were on some sort of tech toy or a computer fighting and arguing over what games and websites they enjoyed most. Tiny computer wizards born into the age of computers.
I ate too much, drank just enough and slept like a baby that night which is totally bizarre for me. Woke up fat.
Today, the day after Thanksgiving, I had my early dentist appointment (remember my cap fell off as I was eating gummy bears on Wednesday with my cousin Debbie). My dentist glued it back in with some sort of tooth cement as I watched Sex in the City, same episode twice since I could not talk to ask my dentist to change to the next episode. "Is everything OK?" I grunt ah haa. Such great fun. My dentist does not hurt at all when he sticks these big long needles into my mouth. He is very gentle. Sort of relaxing in a very intense and frightening way.
Hopped on the F train downtown to shop at UNIQLO, a Japanese clothing store on Broadway. I bought a shinny black down coat, fairly cheap and with tons of Tokyo style. Headed over to a wine bar on Rivington Street, Jadis, on the lower East Side. A new little French place with eclectic humanoids from all over the world.
On the subway these Spanish guys were playing great music, so I took their photos and gave them some cash. They were dressed in authentic attire and were very tidy looking. That is what I was thinking. Some of the best live music these days in New York city is on the subway platforms. Free for the most part. Time to get my butt back to the gym to get this pecan pie off my belly. May take a couple of workouts. female bodybuilders, female bodybuilding, female wrestlers
