Adam versus Lori

adamvslori.jpg

Hello again. This my second post as Lori's guest blogger and relish the chance to speak with all again :-)

See those pictures up there? On the right is New York where Lori lives, on the left is Boise, Idaho where I live. They look really different don't they? You know why? Because they ARE really different, and I think the differences in the two cities mirror the differences between Lori and me.

New York is busy, crowded, and fast paced. Boise is, well, not! Lori is busy and fast paced even when she is sitting still. No really, she never slows down - ever. That is not a bad thing of course, it is just the polar opposite of the way I am. I am relaxed and steady and try not to get too far up or too far down; middle of the road Adam. I know this frustrates Lori at times and I imagine her flying into Boise and kicking my butt before she dies of boredom.

On the other hand, Lori REALLY likes to talk to me on the phone - and not just about work. I think my slower pace gives her a break from New York and all of her New York friends. She knows that she can call me and I will be calm, relaxed, and easy going. Some people can thrive in the almost cartoonish nature of the "fast paced" New York life, I am not one of them. I would kill myself if I lived in a place like that. I prefer the slow, relaxed almost cartoonish nature of the "dead slow pace" of Boise.

Lori and I are like night and day in most ways, but it works. And you can't argue with that!

Peace - Adam
