Guest Blogger - Lori's Webmaster - Adam

Hello Everyone, Lori asked me to be her guest blogger for a couple of days and I jumped at the chance. I am actively involved in the "webmastering" of all of Lori's business interests so I know her and the things she does quite well.
Lori also suggested that my first post be about what it's like to work for her. While this sounds fun, it could be a bad career move if I appraoch the situation with total honesty. Let's face it, no matter how great your boss is (and Lori IS a great boss) there are still things you would change if you could.
Working for Lori is a little like trying to catch a train that is already at full steam away from the station. Lori gets ideas in bunches of 50 or so and wants them all done yesterday. She tends to lay low for a while and then spring 80 new things on me in the blink of an eye - it can be a big pain in the ass challenge for a person like me who works best in a very ordered, methodical way. I am a programmer after all.
Lori also has a tendency to "not remember" things I told her 30 minutes earlier. Usuallly she forgets deadlines and the times we discussed for things getting done. Take this blog post for example. I told her I would have it done some time this evening. At 2 in the afternoon she asked me if I had it done yet! I explained that it wasn't evening yet (like we had discussed) and that I would get it done later. She laughed and said "Well, it's almost dark here" - I just sighed. LOL.
Truth be told, I LOVE working for Lori and her business partners. They are the greatest group of folks I have ever worked with. Sure we have our differences - I tend to work at a more relaxed pace than any of them would like, for instance - but we somehow gel as a team.
Well there it is, my first guest blog post. There is so much more to say about Lori and her cats and Femalemuscle and on and on. I look forward to hearing from you guys and getting to know you better. Lori, the post is up now!
Peace - Adam
