So, Debbie has other children with her X who CAN come to her house, but not this girl?

Yes. I suppose so. Do you think that is wrong? This little girl is not her daughter and she has a terrible relationshop with her X.

I don't know much about children (never had any), except that at her age they are very impressionable. I don't know if it's wrong, but it can't be ideal for her emotional development. Just the way it is, I guess.

She is adorable, though. -.-

Actually, I do think it's wrong, esp. if the other children are her siblings and share the same father. Yes, my gut feeling is that's awful.

I think it's perfectly fine to exclude this one girl from the rest of her siblings when the ex-wife is around. The ex-wife has no obligation to this little girl, so why should she waste the effort into knowing or including this girl in these activities. The ex-wife wants to know her kids and take care of them, with this little girl in the picture, there's already a feeling of uneasiness. Why increase the level of uneasiness by including this little girl in their activities. Besides, this is a good lesson for a little girl to learn, sometimes in life, you're going to be excluded from things.

Maybe Debbie is afraid she'd be abusive toward this girl if she included her in her other children's visits because of her animosity toward her ex.

So doing the girl a favor in the process.

Hey, shouldn't you be on your cousin's side in this? Family should always back each other up.
January 30, 2007 | Unregistered CommenterSchmegeggy
From the picture, there's no innocense or sincerity in this girl's eyes. She's giving the middle finger as a hurtful jesture more than playful thing to do as a joke.

Are you drunk, Kitsune? This doesn't exactly plead a sympathy case.
January 31, 2007 | Unregistered CommenterTanuki
After thinking more about it, I agree with Kat. What Debbie's doing isn't wrong. The acrimony that may affect this girl is a shame, but that really isn't Debbie's problem or responsibility.

Now I'll get drunk...
