I don't know. It seems there's always a horrible tension between genie and master. To be both might cause you to have a nervous breakdown.

That's why the idea of being 'master of thine self' is such a crock. There's no such thing. Everything would come to a screeching halt.

Who endowed you with such perfect knowledge, Brandy? I say the whole genie thing is just a metaphor for alcohol. You get your genie from a bottle, and it ultimately becomes the master if you're not careful.
