Plymouth, MA - Thirty-eight-year-old Bonnie Lefrak flexed her muscle and strutted her stuff Saturday for her first bodybuilding competition, the Natural Bodybuilding Fitness and Figure Championship in Seekonk.

About a half-dozen women competed at the amateur level. Lefrak took home first place, both in the amateur category and the women's open heavyweight competition.

Anybody who wants to call it beginner's luck should do so from a distance, because this woman can kick your butt (not that she would, of course).

"Women's bodybuilding is a subculture of a subculture," she said. "It's a very misunderstood sport for women."
