And that's to say nothing of the Herculean effort that obviously went into concocting "Uberorgan," a whale of a sculpture, with its humongous silvery bladders and bleating horns, now overwhelming the bamboo-forested atrium of the Sculpture Garden at 590 Madison Ave. The sculpture plaintively wheezes musical ditties......Toward what end? That reasonable question slightly misses the point here. Feats of physical fancy, when so dizzily executed, can be their own justification. Hawkinson's larger purpose, you might say, is simply wonderment
