"For almost 20 years of my life, and in all various situations, I have been involved in the sport of bodybuilding. All this has led to my current quest of being a spokesperson for the sport; not only as a competitor from the past and a model in the present, but as a guide for both men and women of all ages that seek to improve their physical appearance and well-being.
It is my wish to educate those that are un- informed and who perceive that bodybuilding is the narcissistic expression of individuals obsessed with their physical appearance. Bodybuilding is the enhancement of 1/3 of the triangle that makes up a human being. To me, there are three parts that make up a human being: the mind, the body, and the soul. To strive for improvement in all three areas should be a goal in all of us. An intellectual and spiritual individual who dies of poor health at a young age, or who is so obese that his peers ridicule him and neglect his talents, is neither doing himself nor humanity any justice. On the other hand (except for in healthy competitions) success in the physical arena should not be measured by comparing oneself with others. If you improve your body and health to the best of your ability, and at a rate that your life style allows you to, then you are a winner and a champion in your own world."
