Athens women's 100m champion Yuliya Nesterenko has been admitted to hospital with stomach problems and stress.

Anatoly Novitsky, head of the sports in the local administration in her hometown of Brest in western Belarus, revealed the gold medallist was in hospital for treatment, but could not clarify the diagnosis.

"She felt unwell yesterday. She was taken to hospital," Novitsky told Reuters.
