08.18.2004:Juninho to Celtic

Juninho is set to become a Celtic player within the next 48 hours after undergoing a medical with the Parkhead club today. The 31-year-old has agreed terms with the Hoops to cement his move from Middlesbrough. The Brazil international has slipped down the pecking order at the Riverside Stadium and was omitted from the squad for the Barclays Premiership opener against Newcastle on Saturday. Celtic executive director Peter Lawwell had already announced the board's intention to back manager Martin O'Neill in his move for Juninho.
