Girl power: Rinehart claims historic victory

GALESBURG - Galesburg High School sophomore Stephanie Rinehart made Galesburg athletic history on Tuesday, but she was the only one in John Thiel Gym who wasn't impressed.

Rinehart became, according to GHS coach John Chapman, the first female in Silver Streaks history to win a varsity wrestling match. She pinned Peoria Manual's Brandon Roberts in a minute, 53 seconds at 103 pounds.

"I was the first? Oh, OK," Rinehart said.
